Applications Conditions
Please read the following information carefully before applying.
- Exam location, exam hall and exam hours are the school, hall and hours indicated in the Student's Electronic Entrance Document.
- You must arrive the school campus 30 minutes before the exam time.
- Do not forget to bring your Exam Entry Document, which is prepared after your application on our website, on your day of exam.
- Students who are 15 minutes late from the exam time will be admitted to the building but will not be given extra time.
- Students who arrive later than 15 minutes will not be admitted to the exam.
The Selective Scholarship Program examination will be conducted in Atakent Campus only.
Please note: Students will not be allowed to sit for the examination unless they have the appropriate photo identification.

- The exam includes Math, English, Physics, Chemistry for high school.
- The exam includes Math, English for middle school.
- Every exam takes about one hour. There is usually one 15-minute break after evey exam.
- The exam is designed to be challenging. It’s common for students not to finish the entire exam.
How to prepare for the exam
- Make sure your child has a good night’s sleep.
- Don't place unnecessary pressure on your child. It may create anxiety and affect their results.
- Try to be as calm as possible before the exam to help your child relax.
- Remember that the scholarship exam is quite demanding. It is designed to challenge students. Make sure you and your child have realistic expectations of their results.
It is common for students to only answer half the questions correctly, and to not finish the whole exam. Let your child know so they do not panic if they run out of time.
What to bring to the exam
Your child should bring these items to the examination:

- Two 2B or 4B pencils, a sharpener and an eraser. A blue or black biro is optional for the writing tasks.

What to expect on exam day
Your child should:
- 1.arrive on time
- 2.go to the toilet before the exam starts
- 3.listen carefully to instructions
- 4.use a 2B or 4B pencil for the multi-choice sections
- 5.colour in the answer circles fully and dark enough for the scanning process
- 6.use the back of the answer sheets for any working-out (don’t write in the test booklets)
- 7.read test questions as they are written and don’t make assumptions based on prior knowledge
- 8.be aware that all the information needed to answer a question is in the question
- 9.answer as many questions as possible in the allocated time
- 10.try not to leave any blank answers. If they aren’t sure, choose the answer that fits best – they won’t lose marks for incorrect answers
- 11.check they are answering the question in the right spot on the answer sheet. The spots are marked with question numbers
- 12.be aware that if they cheat they need to leave and will not have their results scored.
Exam results and offers
- Exam results are delivered to parents individually. Information mail is sent to students who will benefit from the scholarship. The registration office communicates with the parents who want to register.
- Eligible students are offered places based on their exam results.

Achievement tests
These tests measure actual achievement or performance in key academic areas.
Achievement scores are influenced by:
• a student’s ability
• the application and practice of knowledge that has been learned.
The three achievement tests are reading comprehension, mathematics and written expression.
Students complete one written expression test. Students may be asked to produce any of the following text types – creative or persuasive.

1 Reading comprehension
This is a multiple-choice test that measures the capacity to read and interpret meaning from written passages. Some questions also require students to correct, complete and punctuate sentences.
2 Creative writing
This test asks students to write an original work in response to a visual or written cues. It measures the student’s ability to convey ideas in written form. The test assesses punctuation, content, creativity, construction, paragraphs, spelling and relevance.
Persuasive writing
This test asks students to respond to an issue that is relevant to society. For example, social, environmental or political issues. It measures the student’s ability to:
• take a stance on the issue
• make a logical and cohesive argument
• persuade an audience.
The test assesses persuasive devices and language, punctuation, structure, grammar, spelling and vocabulary.

This test asks students to respond to an issue that is relevant to society. For example, social, environmental or political issues. It measures the student’s ability to:

• Science and Technology scholarship consists of a project based assignment that would be given to the applicounts. The students will design their project using the materials available in the J-Tech Lab.
They will be given two hours to complete their project.
They wil have to present their project to the jury as well.

• Aljazari Schools of Science and Technology Music & Art Scholarship exam will be held in order to measure and reward the success of students who want to study in our school in the 2021/2022 academic year.

• Students who want to receive an music scholarship will be evaluated according to their performance in playing an instrument of their choice. Evaluation procedures will be done by a committee of music teachers and scholarship rates will be determined.
• Students who want to receive an Art scholarship will be evaluated according to their performance in the fields of drawing and painting techniques. A judging committee of painting teachers will conduct the assessment and scholarship rates will be determined.
• Aljazari Schools support success in the field of Art & Music. Scholarships are offered to students who are in the top three ranks in official competitions in the field of art according to the evaluation conducted by the judging committee consisting of music and Art teachers.
• Students are required to apply to our institution with their official documents and to meet with our teachers on the date of the exam.

• Aljazari Schools of Science and Technology Sports Scholarship Exam is to measure and reward students' talent in the fields of football, basketball and swimming in the 2021-2022 academic year.
• Students in grades 6 through 8 can apply to attend basketball, football and swimming exams.
• Students can get the "Exam Entry Document" through the exam application page.
• Students will take the exams in the martial arts and indoor gymnasium at Aljazari Schools

• Aljazari Schools of Science and Technology Quran Recitation Scholarship exam will be held in order to measure and reward the success of students who want to study in our school in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Criteria for the Holy Quran Competition:
For the first grade: 5 chapters of Recitation and pronunciation(tajweed)
The second grade: 6 chapters of recitation and pronunciation.
Third grade: 7 chapters of recitation and pronunciation.
Fourth grade: 8 chapters of recitation and pronunciation.
The score which is out of 100 is distributed as follows: 4 questions, 20 points for each. In addition to 10 points for pronunciation (Tajweed) and 10 points for intonation.
The assessment is made by 3 arbitrators, each of whom gives a different evaluation. Students are not corrected or reminded of the first mistake. Rather, they are alerted twice and then the grade deduction starts in the third time.
The ten points of performance are divided as follows: 3 points for stopping and starting, 3 points for starting with no-hesitation, two points for recitation consistency, and two points for good voice, and the poinys of intonation are also divided as follows: two points for noon sakın, two points for meem sakin, two points for meem and nun with shadda, two points for phonex(makharij) , and two points of prolonging(modood).
The arbitrator does not choose the questions directed to the student. Rather, they are randomly selected by the computer to ensure integrity and transparency, as the models are equal in terms of difficulty and ease coefficient.
